Vivid Crag

Vivid Crag was released as part of the Commander 2015 set, a series of preconstructed decks designed specifically for the popular multiplayer Magic: The Gathering format. It belongs to a cycle of 'Vivid' lands originally introduced in the Lorwyn expansion, intended to provide budget-friendly mana fixing for multicolored decks by offering players a choice of any color at the cost of limited charge counters. By reprinting these in the 2015 Commander decks, Wizards of the Coast sought to ensure that players picking up these decks had reliable, accessible land bases for their complex, four-color strategies.

The art for this iteration of the card was rendered by Martina Pilcerova, a longtime contributor to the game known for her atmospheric and painterly style.
