Vivid Grove

Vivid Grove was first introduced in the Lorwyn expansion set released in 2007. As part of a cycle of land cards known as the Vivid lands, it was designed to provide color fixing for multicolor decks by allowing players to tap the land for any color of mana, provided they spend one of the two charge counters initially placed upon it. The card functions as a utility piece intended to smooth out early-game resource distribution in limited and casual play environments.

The artwork for this specific printing in the Commander Anthology was illustrated by Howard Lyon, whose painterly style captures the lush, ethereal atmosphere characteristic of the Lorwyn plane.
