Where it came from
The 'Wakanda Forever!' card was released as part of the Marvel Super Heroes Commander set, a collaboration between Wizards of the Coast and Marvel designed to integrate iconic comic book characters into the Magic: The Gathering ecosystem. This card serves as a thematic representative of the Black Panther mythos, capturing the heroic spirit of Wakanda through its specific gameplay mechanics and card art.
The design of the set focuses on balancing the high-octane aesthetic of Marvel lore with the established strategic systems of Commander format gameplay. The card features custom illustrations that draw inspiration from modern comic depictions of T'Challa, aiming to evoke a sense of noble strength and technological advancement consistent with the cinematic and graphic novel iterations of the character.
