Where it came from
Weftwalking was released as a promotional card within the Edge of Eternities set, designed to bridge the gap between core mechanics and the experimental aesthetic shifts that defined this era of the game. It emerged during a period when the development team sought to emphasize fluid, interconnected gameplay, leading to the creation of a limited series of promos that functioned as visual anchors for the set's broader narrative themes.
The card's illustration reflects the minimalist design philosophy adopted by the studio to distinguish promotional offerings from standard booster pack variants. By stripping back busy textures in favor of clean, evocative lines, the art direction intended to capture the ethereal nature of the card's name, receiving positive feedback from players who valued the stark, sophisticated look as a departure from more crowded card designs.
