Welded

Welded is a front card from The Brothers' War Jumpstart boosters, a product released by Wizards of the Coast in November 2022. This set was designed to complement the main The Brothers' War expansion, focusing on the historical conflict between Urza and Mishra on the plane of Dominaria. The card was specifically created to function as the face of a themed Jumpstart pack, allowing players to quickly identify the contents of their deck while reinforcing the artifact-heavy mechanical identity of the set.

The card features artwork by Wisnu Tan, who was tasked with visualizing the industrial and mechanical themes central to the war's aesthetic. The design emphasizes the gritty, repurposed nature of technology during the conflict, serving as an entry point for both casual players and those interested in the deep lore of Magic: The Gathering. Upon release, these front cards were well-received by the player base for their utility in making the Jumpstart format more accessible and organized for pick-up play.
