Yawgmoth Demon

Yawgmoth Demon was originally introduced in the 1994 Legends expansion, serving as a powerful and formidable creature that reflected the dark, gothic lore of the early Magic: The Gathering multiverse. By the time it was reprinted for the Ninth Edition core set in 2005, the card represented a bridge between the game's formative years and the modern era of refined card frames and updated rules text.

The artwork for the Ninth Edition printing was executed by Pete Venters, a prolific illustrator who defined much of the game's visual identity during its first decade.
