What it does
Colorless spells you cast from your hand with mana value 7 or greater have "Cascade, cascade." (When you cast one, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card that costs less. You may cast it without paying its mana cost. Put the exiled cards on the bottom in a random order. Then do it again.)

Where it came from
Zhulodok, Void Gorger was released in 2023 as part of the Commander Masters set, specifically serving as the face card for the Eldrazi Unbound preconstructed deck. The design team created this card to act as a powerful engine for colorless decks, utilizing a unique cascade-like ability that rewards players for casting expensive spells. This release was significant as it brought much-needed support to colorless Commander archetypes, which had long relied on older, more scattered card pools.
The artwork, illustrated by Igor Kieryluk, emphasizes the terrifying, otherworldly nature of the Eldrazi. Kieryluk sought to capture the entity's scale and its corrupting influence on the blind eternities, using desaturated colors and sharp, jagged forms to convey a sense of cosmic dread. The card was widely praised by the community upon release for its mechanical depth and its ability to act as a compelling commander, quickly becoming a staple for fans of high-mana, colorless strategies.
