Gli ultimi fatti della squadra romana da Corfú all'Egitto: storia dal 1700 al 1807

Published in the late 19th century, this historical volume is the work of Alberto Guglielmotti, a Dominican friar and naval historian who dedicated his scholarship to the history of the Papal Navy. The text focuses on the maritime operations of the Roman squadron between 1700 and 1807, documenting a complex period of Mediterranean naval strategy that bridged the decline of traditional Mediterranean naval powers and the geopolitical shifts caused by the Napoleonic Wars.

Guglielmotti is highly regarded for his archival rigor and his ability to synthesize complex maritime logs and administrative records into a cohesive narrative. His work serves as a primary reference for historians studying the intersection of ecclesiastical governance and naval defense. The volume reflects the nationalist historical trends of the Risorgimento era, aimed at documenting the maritime heritage of the Italian peninsula through an academic lens.
