Jahresbericht des k.k. Kaiser Franz Joseph-Staatsgymnasiums in Krainburg veröffentlicht für das Schuljahr 1902/1903

The Jahresbericht, or annual report, of the K.K. Kaiser Franz Joseph-Staatsgymnasium in Krainburg (modern-day Kranj, Slovenia) was published at the conclusion of the 1902/1903 academic year. These documents were traditional administrative and pedagogical records mandated by the educational authorities of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, serving to chronicle the faculty roster, curriculum changes, student enrollment statistics, and notable academic achievements of the gymnasium. Beyond their bureaucratic function, these reports often included scholarly essays written by the teaching staff on classical, historical, or scientific topics, reflecting the rigorous intellectual standards of the era's secondary education system.

The design and production of these reports adhered to the formal, austere aesthetic common to imperial state publications of the early twentieth century. Typical of their genre, they were printed on standard, modest paper stock, emphasizing institutional longevity and serious scholarship over ornamental flourish. While they were not intended for a commercial audience, they represent a significant primary source for local historians and genealogists, offering a window into the cultural and educational landscape of the Carniola region during the twilight years of the Habsburg monarchy.
