Ozanari-Kun

Ozanari-Kun was serialized in the monthly magazine Spirits Zokan Manpuku! beginning in 2005. Asano Inio, already established for his introspective and often melancholy approach to storytelling, created this work as a departure from his more serious, drama-heavy projects. The series serves as a collection of comedic, surreal vignettes that highlight the artist's versatility and his penchant for blending mundane human experiences with eccentric, off-kilter humor.

The character designs and visual execution reflect Asano's meticulous attention to detail, maintaining his signature high-contrast, realistic background style paired with exaggerated, expressive character archetypes.
