Saint Seiya: Saintia Sho Vol. 7

Saintia Sho serves as a spin-off to Masami Kurumada’s seminal 1980s series, Saint Seiya. This volume is part of Chimaki Kuori's series, which reimagines the original mythology from the perspective of the Saintia, a specialized group of female warriors serving the goddess Athena. First serialized in Champion Red beginning in 2013, the work is noted for integrating shojo-influenced character designs with the intense, action-oriented aesthetic of the original shonen source material.

The seventh volume continues the narrative development of the lead character, Shoko, as she navigates the perilous conflicts surrounding the Sanctuary. Kuori’s artistic contribution remains significant for her ability to maintain visual continuity with Kurumada’s iconic armor designs while introducing a distinct, elegant draftsmanship that emphasizes the emotional interiority of the protagonists. The volume was received by fans as a pivotal bridge in the series, further grounding the Saintia within the wider Saint Seiya continuity.
