Superman by Peter J. Tomasi & Patrick Gleason Omnibus

This omnibus collects the acclaimed DC Rebirth-era run on Superman, published between 2016 and 2018. The series was designed to recalibrate the character's status quo following the New 52, returning Clark Kent to his traditional roots as a devoted husband to Lois Lane and a father to their son, Jonathan Kent. By shifting the narrative focus toward the dynamics of the Kent family unit, the creative team aimed to ground the god-like figure of Superman in intimate, human-centric storytelling that emphasized legacy and domestic stability.

The creative partnership of writer Peter J. Tomasi and artist Patrick Gleason was lauded for its tonal consistency and ability to balance high-stakes superhero action with gentle, character-driven moments. Gleason’s dynamic, expressive art style helped define the visual identity of the Rebirth era, earning the title a reputation as one of the most cohesive and emotionally resonant runs in modern Superman history. The omnibus format serves as a permanent archive of this specific transition in DC’s publishing history, reflecting a successful editorial effort to restore the character's classic moral core for a new generation of readers.
