Susume Piron

Susume Piron is a lesser-known title authored by Fujiko F. Fujio, the creative pseudonym shared by Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko. Emerging from the mid-20th century manga tradition that defined the duo's career, this work reflects their signature blend of gentle, imaginative storytelling and whimsical character design. It is often viewed by scholars as a fascinating glimpse into the experimental period of their collaboration, during which they refined the approachable, clean aesthetic that would eventually gain global recognition through their later, more iconic creations.

The design of the volume centers on the classic Japanese manga format, emphasizing clear paneling and expressive, round-featured characters typical of the era. Fujiko F. Fujio were known for their focus on themes of wonder and childhood innocence, and this volume is no exception. Upon its release, it was received as a charming addition to their growing body of work, though it remains a more niche collector's item today, valued primarily by enthusiasts of the authors' broader stylistic evolution and their foundational role in post-war manga history.
