Where it came from
Tacit is a webcomic series written and illustrated by Kim Dazzi, originating from the South Korean digital platform Lezhin Comics. Emerging within the competitive landscape of webtoons, the series was crafted to explore complex post-apocalyptic themes, blending elements of survival drama with psychological character development. It reflects the broader trend of high-quality digital manhwa that gained international traction during the mid-2010s, prioritizing atmospheric world-building and stark visual storytelling to depict a desolate, resource-scarce future.
The design and narrative approach of Tacit are defined by Kim Dazzi’s deliberate use of minimalism and a muted color palette, which underscore the bleak environment the protagonists navigate. Upon its release, the work was received as a notable entry in the genre, particularly praised for its pacing and the nuanced growth of its central characters. The series is often cited by readers for its mature treatment of themes such as trust and human endurance, cementing its place as a significant title within its host platform's catalog.
