Una famiglia di patrioti Emiliani, i Giglioli di Brescello, con appendice di 26 lettere inedite di patrioti del tempo

Published in the early 20th century, this volume serves as a genealogical and historical record of the Giglioli family from Brescello, Italy. Written by Costanza Giglioli Stocker, the work was conceived as a scholarly contribution to the local history of the Emilia-Romagna region, specifically documenting the family's involvement in the Italian Risorgimento. The inclusion of twenty-six previously unpublished letters provides primary source insight into the personal convictions and communications of patriots active during that era.

The text reflects the historiographical trend of the period, which sought to preserve the legacies of regional families who contributed to the broader movement for Italian unification. By contextualizing the Giglioli family within the socio-political upheaval of their time, Giglioli Stocker aimed to create an enduring archive for future historians. The volume remains a valued reference for those researching the intersection of family history and the nationalist movements that reshaped Italy in the nineteenth century.
