Ura Kaseifu Keshiko ~Sono Kazoku Iranai desuyo ne?~

Ura Kaseifu Keshiko ~Sono Kazoku Iranai desuyo ne?~ is a manga series created by Motohashi Takashi that explores the dark, cynical underside of domestic life. Debuting within the mature-oriented manga landscape in Japan, the work is centered on the titular protagonist, Keshiko, a housekeeper whose interventions in the families she serves often veer into psychological disruption and social subversion. It belongs to a specific subgenre of 'dark domestic' manga that emerged as a commentary on the stresses and hidden secrets of modern household dynamics.

Motohashi Takashi’s design for the series emphasizes an unsettling contrast between the mundane setting of a Japanese home and the increasingly unhinged behavior of the characters. The visual style is rooted in traditional manga character design, yet it uses sharp, exaggerated expressions to heighten the tension of the narrative. Upon its release, the series attracted a niche following among readers who enjoy character-driven psychological thrillers, finding success by subverting the cozy, helpful archetype of the housekeeper trope in popular media.
