Buggy

The Buggy card from the OP16-031 The Time of Battle set is part of the One Piece Card Game, which was launched by Bandai in 2022 to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of Eiichiro Oda’s long-running manga series. This specific card features the character Buggy the Clown, one of the earliest antagonists and a pivotal figure in the narrative due to his unique Devil Fruit abilities and eventual rise in the series hierarchy. The card was released as part of an expansion designed to capture key conflicts and iconic moments from the source material, appealing to both competitive players and series enthusiasts.

The design of cards within the One Piece Card Game typically utilizes a mix of original illustrations and panels sourced directly from the manga to maintain visual continuity with the series. This card features thematic artwork that reflects Buggy's flamboyant and chaotic personality. The release was met with interest from the trading card community, which has largely embraced the game for its strategic depth and the nostalgic appeal of its art direction. Like many cards in the set, it serves as a collectible piece that highlights the evolving roster of characters featured in the later arcs of the story.
