Eustass"Captain"Kid

The Eustass 'Captain' Kid leader card (ST02-001) was released in 2022 as part of the initial launch wave for the One Piece Card Game, specifically within the Worst Generation Starter Deck. This set was designed to introduce players to the game's mechanics, focusing on the high-intensity characters who challenged the global power structure in the series. The card features a dynamic illustration that captures the character's signature metal-manipulation powers, rendered in the bold, vibrant aesthetic characteristic of the game's early art direction.

The card was produced by Bandai to provide a competitive foundation for players interested in green-attribute decks. Its design emphasizes the character's aggressive, tank-like playstyle, which reflects his lore-based reputation for durability and brute force. Upon release, the card was well-received by the player base for its strategic viability, quickly becoming a staple in the meta and a sought-after piece for collectors focusing on the Supernova sub-group of characters.
