Where it came from
Foxy (OP07-059) was released in 2024 as part of the '500 Years in the Future' expansion for the One Piece Card Game. This set draws heavily from the Egghead Arc and the Foxy Pirates' Davy Back Fight arc, continuing the game's strategy of adapting iconic characters into mechanical leader cards that dictate unique playstyles. The Parallel version features distinct, high-quality foil treatment and exclusive artwork, catering to collectors who value aesthetic variants of foundational game pieces.
The design of the card focuses on Foxy the Silver Fox, the antagonist of the Long Ring Long Land arc, known for his penchant for deceit and his Slow-Slow Fruit abilities. Illustrators for the set aimed to capture Foxy’s theatrical and mischievous nature, utilizing dynamic framing and specialized printing techniques common to the card game's 'Parallel' rare tier. Within the competitive community, the card is recognized for its thematic ability to influence the pace of the game, mirroring Foxy’s narrative role as a trickster who disrupts his opponents' timing.
