Howling Gab

The Howling Gab card, designated OP09-006, was released in the RED Shanks starter deck as part of the One Piece Card Game’s ninth booster expansion cycle. This set focuses on the narrative surrounding the film One Piece Film: Red, specifically highlighting the crew members of the Red Hair Pirates who operate under the command of Shanks. The card serves as a tactical addition to the game's mechanics, emphasizing the thematic cohesion of the Red-colored decks which often prioritize aggressive, high-damage playstyles.

The design of the card reflects the aesthetic established by Eiichiro Oda’s character illustrations, featuring Howling Gab, the distinguished sniper of the Red Hair Pirates. The artistic direction aims to capture the intensity of the character’s presence in the film, utilizing the game’s signature frame style to distinguish it from standard base-set releases. As with other cards in the ST-23 deck, it was received by the player base as a functional piece for thematic deck building, prioritizing synergy within the film-inspired archetypes over individual rarity.
