Humandrill

The Humandrill (ST12-004) was released in 2024 as part of the Starter Deck 12, titled Zoro & Sanji, for the One Piece Card Game. This character represents the aggressive, martial-arts-wielding baboons native to Kuraigana Island, who are known for mimicking the combat styles of the humans they encounter. The card design leans into the thematic focus of the deck, which emphasizes the training and growth of Roronoa Sanji and Vinsmoke Sanji, with the Humandrill serving as a key adversary encountered during the time-skip era of the series.

The card was illustrated to capture the character's signature defensive and offensive stance, utilizing the established visual language of the One Piece Card Game to ensure synergy within the Green-colored deck archetypes. The artwork adheres to the official character design by Eiichiro Oda, focusing on the creature's menacing, fur-covered anatomy and its ability to utilize weaponry. Upon its release, the card was integrated into the meta as a common utility piece, appreciated by players for its role in supporting the deck's overarching strategy of board control and resource management.
