Jinbe

Released in the 2024 '500 Years in the Future' expansion for the One Piece Card Game, this character card featuring Jinbe, the Knight of the Sea, serves as a thematic bridge to the Egghead Arc. The card design leans into the tactical utility and martial prowess of the Straw Hat crew's helmsman, utilizing the visual language of the seventh main set to emphasize his role as a Fish-Man Karate master. It was produced by Bandai to integrate key narrative figures into the game's evolving strategic ecosystem, focusing on characters who play pivotal roles during the alliance's journey toward the series' later installments.

The artistry on this card adheres to the high-detail illustration style consistent with the One Piece trading card line, emphasizing dynamic positioning and the character's signature stoic expression. By capturing Jinbe in a combat-ready stance, the design team aimed to reinforce his identity as a heavy-hitting defensive and offensive asset. Upon its release, the card was well-received by competitive players for its mechanical synergies within the blue-color deck archetypes, solidifying its place as a reliable mid-to-late game character card within the contemporary meta-game.
