Jinbe

The Jinbe character card, designated OP05-066, was released as part of the Awakening of the New Era expansion for the One Piece Card Game in 2023. As a key member of the Straw Hat Pirates, Jinbe's inclusion in this set was timed to coincide with the ongoing narrative developments in the Wano Country arc, highlighting his role as the crew's helmsman. The design captures the character's signature martial arts style, utilizing the game's established art direction that leans into high-energy, manga-inspired illustrations to reflect the intensity of his combat abilities.

This specific card was created to provide tactical versatility within the blue color archetype of the game, emphasizing control and defensive maneuvers consistent with Jinbe's strategic personality. The card was well-received by players for its ability to manipulate the field, reflecting a design philosophy that favors character-accurate mechanics. Like many cards in the OP05 set, it served both competitive players looking for structural support and collectors aiming to complete their roster of the Straw Hat crew.
