Where it came from
Little Sadi (OP02-073) was released as part of the Paramount War expansion for the One Piece Card Game, which debuted in late 2022 to coincide with the franchise's twenty-fifth anniversary. The set focused heavily on the Impel Down and Marineford story arcs, recreating the high-stakes prison breakout and the ensuing war between the Whitebeard Pirates and the World Government. As a Character card, Sadi is designed to support the Impel Down archetype, reflecting her role as the Chief Jailer who oversees the prison’s hellish levels.
The artwork for this card captures Sadi’s sadistic temperament and her signature whip, emphasizing the domineering aesthetic established by Eiichiro Oda in the original manga. As an uncommon rarity within the set, the card was produced as a functional utility piece for players building Purple-aligned decks. It was received by the community as a thematic staple for Impel Down-themed strategies, prized more for its specific color-based synergy and interaction with the game's DON!! mechanic than for its scarcity or visual variation.
