Monkey.D.Luffy

The Monkey D. Luffy card, numbered OP04-014, was released as part of the Kingdoms of Intrigue expansion for the One Piece Card Game, which debuted in mid-2023. These specific pre-release promotional versions were distributed to participants of early-access events, serving as a commemorative item for players to engage with the fourth core set of the game. The design emphasizes the iconic protagonist, Luffy, reflecting his portrayal during the Alabasta or Dressrosa-inspired story arcs central to this set's theme.

The card features artwork consistent with the game’s aesthetic, which blends dynamic manga-style action with the structured gameplay mechanics of the Bandai card game ecosystem. As with other cards in this line, the design was developed to balance recognizable character tropes from Eiichiro Oda’s source material with the tactical requirements of the game's competitive scene. Upon its release, it was well-received by the community for its utility in red-color decks and its status as a tangible piece of the game's expanding competitive history.
