Monkey.D.Luffy

The Monkey.D.Luffy card (OP04-090) was released in 2023 as part of the Kingdoms of Intrigue expansion for the One Piece Card Game. This set focuses primarily on the Alabasta and Dressrosa story arcs, drawing narrative inspiration from the series' most iconic political conflicts and revolutionary movements. The card is designed to represent Luffy in his standard form, serving as a functional piece within the game's evolving mechanics rather than a rare alternate-art showcase.

The illustration maintains the distinct, high-energy aesthetic consistent with the One Piece trading card line, emphasizing the character's signature silhouette and determined expression. Like many character cards in the OP04 set, the design aims to balance playability with visual fidelity to Eiichiro Oda’s source material. Upon its debut, the card was received by the player base as a staple inclusion for decks utilizing the Yellow color identity, prized more for its utility in strategic setups than for speculative rarity.
