Okiku

Okiku (OP01-035) was released in the debut set of the One Piece Card Game, -ROMANCE DAWN-, which launched in Japan in July 2022. The set was designed to introduce the game's mechanics by featuring iconic characters from across the long-running manga and anime series, with Okiku representing the Wano Country arc. Her character card is categorized as a Blue character, reflecting her role as one of the Nine Red Scabbards, and was crafted to emphasize her strategic utility in gameplay rather than focusing solely on combat strength.

The card features an illustration that captures Okiku's traditional aesthetic, consistent with her depiction as a samurai serving under the Kozuki clan. The design team utilized the clean, vibrant art style synonymous with modern trading card games to ensure readability on the table. Upon its release, the set was well-received by players for its balance and accessibility, and Okiku quickly became a staple for deck-builders looking to utilize specific cost-based mechanics inherent to the Blue color identity.
