Tony Tony.Chopper

The Tony Tony.Chopper character card (OP09-029) was released in 2024 as part of the One Piece Card Game's ninth main expansion set, titled Emperors in the New World. This set focuses on the high-stakes power dynamics of the series' post-time skip narrative, specifically highlighting the formidable Yonko and their associates. The design process for this card set prioritized depicting key moments from the Wano Country arc and the subsequent shifting landscape of the Grand Line, utilizing high-fidelity anime stills and original art that emphasizes the card's specific combat role within the game's evolving meta.

This card features Chopper in his standard form, rendered with the vibrant aesthetic typical of the set's common and uncommon rarity tiers. By focusing on the Straw Hat crew's doctor, the design team sought to balance the set's heavy focus on legendary antagonists with the familiar, endearing presence of the core protagonists. The card was received by the player base as a functional utility piece, appreciated for its consistent design language and its ability to integrate into the yellow color-coded deck strategies that emphasize life-point manipulation and supportive effects.
