Provenance

Where it came from

The Tsuru card, numbered OP02-106, was originally introduced in the Paramount War expansion set of the One Piece Card Game. As a character card representing the tactical marine Vice Admiral, it was designed to integrate into the game's strategic landscape, emphasizing the defensive and disruptive playstyles associated with Navy-themed decks. The artwork captures Tsuru's stern and authoritative presence, reflecting her established persona within the One Piece narrative as a seasoned veteran of the World Government.

The card was later reprinted in the PRB-01 'ONE PIECE CARD THE BEST' collection. This release serves as a curated retrospective, gathering influential and highly utilized cards from the game's earlier sets to improve accessibility for new players while providing updated aesthetics. The design team focused on maintaining the clarity and visual consistency required for competitive play, ensuring that the card remains a functional and recognized component of the game's evolving meta-game.
