Es Ziehn Zwei Freunde (Wer Weiß Ob Wir Uns Wiedersehn)

Es Ziehn Zwei Freunde (Wer Weiß Ob Wir Uns Wiedersehn) was released in 1962 by the Austrian folk group Die Kern Buam. The track reflects the traditional Alpine folk music style that brought the group widespread popularity across German-speaking territories during the mid-20th century, specifically within the Volksmusik genre that celebrated rural, sentimental themes.

The single was distributed by Polydor, a major label that actively supported the proliferation of Schlager and traditional folk recordings during this era. The record is characteristic of the group’s work, which featured tight vocal harmonies and instrumental arrangements typical of the period's regional music output, intended primarily for a domestic audience seeking nostalgic, heart-tugging narratives of parting and friendship.
