Gling-Gló

Originally recorded in 1990 and later released internationally in 1999, Gling-Gló serves as a unique bridge between Björk’s early career in the Sugarcubes and her eventual solo success. The project features Björk collaborating with the Guðmundur Ingólfsson Trio to record a collection of jazz standards and Icelandic pop songs, performed entirely in Icelandic. It captures a spontaneous, intimate energy, reflecting the vibrancy of the Reykjavik jazz scene of the era and highlighting Björk's vocal versatility before her electronic transition.
