Gling-Gló

Gling-Gló was originally recorded in 1990 at Hljóðriti studio in Iceland, emerging from a spontaneous collaboration between Björk Guðmundsdóttir and the jazz pianist Guðmundur Ingólfsson and his trio. Seeking a departure from the experimental rock sounds of her band, The Sugarcubes, Björk turned toward the classic jazz standards and traditional Icelandic songs that had influenced her early vocal development.
