Ix-Xieh U X-Xieha

Ix-Xieh u x-Xieha is a notable mid-twentieth-century recording released under the Carabott Diski Maltin label. Produced during a period when Maltese traditional music and folk theater were experiencing a brief surge in commercial documentation, the record captures the rhythmic and linguistic nuances of local storytelling traditions. It serves as an artifact of the Maltese cultural landscape, preserving the vocal performances of Ix-Xudi and Rosina Xiberres, who were active participants in the island's burgeoning post-war entertainment scene.

The design and production of the A 247523 release reflect the austere but functional aesthetic common to regional labels of the era. The collaboration between Ix-Xudi and Rosina Xiberres highlights a specific niche of Maltese folk performance intended to capture the domestic charm of dialogue-based songs. While specific details regarding the studio production remain documented primarily within local archival records, the release was received as an earnest contribution to the preservation of the Maltese language and folklore, marking it as a significant, if niche, piece of Mediterranean ethnomusicological history.
