Karadeniz Kolbastısı - Kaderim Bu İmiş / Kekliği Düz Ovada Avladım

Released in 1973 under the Diskotür label, this 45-rpm single by İsmail Yazıcıoğlu captures a pivotal moment in the modernization of Turkish regional folk music. During the 1970s, labels like Diskotür were instrumental in bridging the gap between traditional Anatolian folk melodies and the growing popularity of Western-influenced pop arrangements, a movement often categorized within the broader Anatolian rock and folk-fusion scene.

The record features 'Karadeniz Kolbastısı' on the A-side, a track that draws upon the energetic, rhythmic traditions of the Black Sea region. Yazıcıoğlu’s interpretation highlights the technical proficiency required to translate regional dance music for radio play and jukebox circulation. While the individual discography of Yazıcıoğlu is niche, the production standards of Diskotür during this era reflect a professional commitment to preserving the vitality of folk styles while embracing the studio recording techniques that defined the Turkish music industry of the early 1970s.
