こちら葛飾区亀有公園前派出所 = Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kouen Mae Hashutsujo (Kochikame)

Released in 1985 on the Animex label, this record features music tied to the long-running manga series Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kouen Mae Hashutsujo, famously known as Kochikame. Created by Osamu Akimoto, the series debuted in 1976 and became a staple of Weekly Shonen Jump, chronicling the comedic adventures of police officer Kankichi Ryotsu in the downtown district of Kameari. This specific release functions as an atmospheric tie-in to the source material’s cultural presence during the mid-eighties.

The musical composition and arrangement credit for this release is attributed to Tadashige Matsui. The production reflects the era's approach to anime and manga soundtracks, which often sought to capture the high-energy, slapstick tone of the source material through eclectic arrangements. It was designed to appeal to the show's growing fanbase, acting as a commemorative audio companion to the manga's status as a quintessential portrait of Tokyo's traditional neighborhoods.
