My Persian Love

My Persian Love was released in 2010 on the Claremont 56 label, founded by DJ and producer Paul 'Mudd' Murphy. The release emerged as part of the label's mission to curate and reissue eclectic, Balearic-influenced music, often highlighting the experimental spirit of legends like Holger Czukay. As a former member of the influential krautrock group Can, Czukay’s work in this period continued his exploration of tape editing, global rhythmic textures, and ambient sonic collage.

The composition draws upon the distinct, avant-garde production aesthetic that Czukay refined throughout his solo career, characterized by his innovative use of the Dictaphone and sampling techniques. By the time of this release, Czukay’s legacy was firmly established within the experimental music community, and this track served as a bridge between his classic 1970s tape experiments and the contemporary resurgence of interest in his unique, genre-defying soundscapes.
