Ne T'en Fais Pas

Released in 1985 on the Les Disques N°1 label, Ne T'en Fais Pas represents a significant chapter in the shared musical journey of siblings René and Régis Simard. By this point in his career, René Simard was already a household name in Quebec, having transitioned from a child star to a versatile adult performer. This record captures the duo during a period of experimentation within the Canadian pop landscape, blending light pop sensibilities with the vocal harmonies characteristic of their sibling dynamic.

The production sought to capitalize on René’s enduring popularity while showcasing Régis’s growing presence as an artist in his own right. The design of the record reflects the mid-eighties aesthetic prevalent in Quebec’s francophone music scene, prioritizing a polished, radio-friendly sound that aimed to resonate with a broad family audience. While it is a lesser-known entry in René Simard's extensive discography compared to his early blockbuster hits, it remains a notable artifact of the creative collaboration between the brothers during the mid-eighties.
