Where it came from
The 7-inch record Nette Menschen Trinken Henninger (catalog number 878/69) was produced in 1969 as a promotional tool for the Frankfurt-based Henninger-Bräu brewery. During the post-war German economic miracle, it was common for major industrial brands to commission records featuring jingles, Schlager-style songs, or radio-style advertisements to foster brand loyalty and capture the convivial spirit of the era's beer garden culture.
The disc serves as a snapshot of late 1960s commercial advertising in West Germany, blending upbeat pop production with a lyrical focus on social camaraderie. While the specific illustrator or creative director behind the sleeve remains uncredited in public archives, the aesthetic reflects the bold, minimalist graphic design sensibilities of the time, intended to make the brand feel both approachable and modern to the average consumer.
