N'importe Où Sauf Ailleurs / J'attends De Toi

Released in 1979 under the RCA label, this seven-inch single represents a specific moment in the late-seventies French pop landscape. Patrice Lamy was part of a cohort of artists navigating the transition between traditional chanson and the emerging influence of synth-pop and disco-inflected production styles. The record served as a promotional vehicle for his musical output during this period, distributed to radio stations and retail outlets to gain traction in the competitive French charts.

The production aesthetic of the record reflects the characteristic sonic polish of RCA's European studios at the time, aiming for a radio-friendly, melodic appeal. Like many singles from this era of French variety music, the design relies on standard label photography and typeface layouts consistent with the house style of RCA’s catalog series. It remains a minor footnote in the broader history of the label's Francophone roster, serving primarily as a document of the mainstream pop sensibilities of 1979.
