Que Se Case Quem Quiser

Released in 1970 on the Alvorada label, Que Se Case Quem Quiser represents a slice of the vibrant Portuguese pop and light music scene of the late twentieth century. Alice Amaro, a performer known for her contributions to the fado and popular music landscape of the era, utilized this EP to showcase her vocal versatility within the stylistic framework typical of Alvorada productions, which frequently sought to bridge traditional Portuguese sounds with accessible mid-century pop arrangements.

The record design and selection of tracks reflect the aesthetic sensibilities of the period, prioritizing a lighthearted, folk-inflected approach to domestic music production. While the specific production team remains secondary to the prominence of Amaro as the focal point, the release is characteristic of the catalog-driven output of Alvorada, which played a consistent role in documenting the lighter, more mainstream side of Portuguese musical expression during a transitional cultural decade.
