Se Você Quiser Mas Sem Bronquear / Tudo Que Você Podia Ser

This 2014 release from the Mr Bongo label serves as a carefully curated reissue of two quintessential tracks from the Brazilian MPB and bossa nova scenes. The record pairs Dóris Monteiro's sophisticated, breezy vocal delivery with the rich, intricate harmonic arrangements of Quarteto em Cy. It was produced for the contemporary vinyl market to reintroduce these mid-century classics to a global audience of audiophiles and collectors who value the intersection of sophisticated jazz-influenced melodies and Brazilian rhythmic traditions.

The label, Mr Bongo, focused its design approach on preserving the aesthetic integrity of the era while utilizing modern pressing techniques to ensure high-fidelity sound. The choice to combine these specific tracks highlights the collaborative spirit prevalent in the Rio de Janeiro music scene during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The release was well-received by critics and crate-diggers, who praised the high-quality remastering and the decision to highlight these specific arrangements as definitive examples of the genre's enduring appeal.
