Where it came from
Released in 2003 under the Addicted Music label, the X-Trem Dance Club record represents the high-energy output of the European dance and trance scene that dominated European club culture during the early 2000s. Cataloged as AD-0020-MX, the record captures a specific sonic landscape defined by synthesizer-heavy production and driving, rhythmic tempos intended for high-intensity nightlife environments.
The identity of the creators behind the X-Trem Dance Club moniker remains elusive, which was common among studio-based dance projects during this era. These releases were frequently produced by anonymous teams of studio engineers and composers aiming to capture the popular club sound of the time. While it served as a functional piece of vinyl for touring DJs, the record acts primarily as a historical artifact of the disposable, high-frequency dance music output that characterized independent labels like Addicted Music at the turn of the millennium.
