Xenophobiac Xanthous Xenogenesis (Green Cover Special Version)

Xenophobiac Xanthous Xenogenesis was released in 2007 by the Japanese black/thrash metal band Sabbat through the label Heavy Metal Super Star Records. This specific edition, distinguished by its unique green cover art, was produced to cater to the band's dedicated cult following and to satisfy the market for limited-run physical media within the underground extreme metal scene. Sabbat, formed in the early 1980s, has long been revered for their intricate, occult-infused compositions and their uncompromising commitment to the traditional aesthetic of the black metal movement.

The design of this release reflects the band's penchant for lo-fi, visceral imagery, often incorporating surrealist and dark folklore themes that align with their lyrical content. The green cover variation was a specialized variant intended to contrast with standard pressings, serving as a visual marker for fans seeking rare iterations of the band's catalog. The album is generally viewed by followers of the genre as a testament to Sabbat's consistent output, reinforcing their reputation as a foundational force in the Japanese metal underground.
