Bottomless Trap Hole

Bottomless Trap Hole was originally introduced during the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, designed by Konami as a powerful form of monster removal that bypasses many traditional protection effects. Its mechanic—destroying and banishing monsters summoned with high attack power—quickly established it as a cornerstone of competitive play, remaining a staple card in side decks and main decks alike for nearly two decades due to its efficiency in neutralizing threats immediately upon entry to the field.

The version from Starter Deck: Link Strike (YS17-EN037) was released in 2017 to coincide with the introduction of Link Monsters and the Master Rule 4 transition. As a common rarity reprint, it was included to ensure that both new players and veterans had accessible access to a versatile, evergreen utility card that could reliably interact with the game's evolving summoning mechanics and keep the fast-paced board states of the time in check.
