Call of the Haunted

Call of the Haunted was originally introduced in the early days of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, serving as one of the most fundamental Continuous Trap cards in the game's history. It was designed to provide players with a reliable method of special summoning monsters from the Graveyard, effectively turning the discard pile into a secondary resource zone. Its mechanics reflect the classic graveyard-recursion tropes seen throughout the game's development, emphasizing long-term board presence over singular, explosive plays.

The specific version numbered LDK2-ENJ37 was released as part of the Legendary Decks II collection in 2016. This set was curated to honor the history of the original anime, featuring iconic cards used by the primary protagonists. As a common rarity print, this edition was intended to ensure that veteran players and new fans alike had accessible access to a staple card that had seen numerous reprints and errata adjustments since its initial debut to keep pace with the game's evolving ruleset.
