Fairy's Hand Mirror

Fairy's Hand Mirror was released in the Magic Ruler expansion, which hit North American markets in 2002. As one of the earliest sets in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, it introduced the mechanic of Spell and Trap cards that could actively influence the opponent's gameplay choices. This specific card was designed to capitalize on the increasing complexity of duel strategies, providing a niche utility to redirect a targeted spell card back to its original caster.

The artwork follows the aesthetic conventions established by Kazuki Takahashi and the Konami design team during the game's formative years. It features a decorative, ornate mirror motif, reflecting the high-fantasy influence that characterized the early card catalog. While the card is a common rarity and saw limited competitive play, it remains a nostalgic piece for those building early-era collections, serving as an example of the basic trap mechanics that defined the game's initial ruleset.
