Fighting Spirit

Fighting Spirit was released as a common spell card in the 2013 Battle Pack 2: War of the Giants set. This expansion was specifically designed for a sealed play environment, mimicking the high-stakes, epic nature of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! anime battles. The card functions as an equip spell, providing a stat boost to monsters that have been special summoned, reinforcing the set's focus on momentum and aggressive field presence.

The card's design features artwork consistent with the aesthetic of the Duel Monsters era, emphasizing the visual flair typical of the franchise's spell cards. As a common rarity item, it was intended as a foundational utility piece for the drafting experience rather than a collector's showpiece. Its reception was largely defined by its utility in the limited tournament formats of the time, where equipping a monster with a permanent stat increase could turn the tide in the simplified, fast-paced matches the set encouraged.
