Fog King

Fog King was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as a core component of the Speed Duel GX: Duelists of Shadows set. This specific release was designed to bring the narrative and mechanical flavor of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX animated series to the Speed Duel format, a streamlined version of the game focused on faster, more accessible gameplay. The card itself represents a tactical boss monster intended to challenge traditional tribute-heavy deck building by allowing players to utilize monsters from either side of the field as tribute fodder.

The card features an effect that defines its utility, establishing its attack power based on the total original attack of the monsters tributed for its summon. Its design fits into the broader thematic landscape of the Duelists of Shadows arc, emphasizing the antagonistic and powerful forces that the protagonists faced in the series. As a common rarity card in the Speed Duel ecosystem, it serves as a functional, accessible tool for players looking to explore tribute-summoning mechanics without the complexity often found in the Advanced format.
