Giant Trunade

Giant Trunade was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as a common spell card, appearing in the 2005 release of Structure Deck: Zombie Madness. As a Normal Spell card, its design centered on a simple, powerful utility effect: returning all spell and trap cards on the field to their owners' hands. This provided a strategic board-clearing tool that allowed players to bypass defensive back-row setups before committing to an offensive play.

The card’s illustration features a whimsical, oversized wind-up toy, fitting the theme of a disruptive force clearing the path. While initially common in structure decks, the card's ability to reset the field state became so influential in competitive play that it eventually faced scrutiny from the game's designers, leading to its eventual restriction and prohibition in tournament formats due to the ease with which it could facilitate 'one-turn-kill' strategies.
