Harpie Lady

Harpie Lady originated in the early days of the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, appearing as a core monster in Mai Valentine’s signature deck within the original anime series. The card was designed to reflect the aesthetic of mythological sirens, combining elegant avian features with a sharp, combat-ready edge. Its original Japanese illustration was rendered with a distinct artistic style that became iconic for its association with wind-attribute strategies.

The Dark Beginning 1 release served as a comprehensive reprint set intended to provide players with easier access to classic staple cards that had become difficult to acquire. As a common rarity in this set, the DB1-EN145 printing allowed a wider audience to field the Harpie archetype. While the card's mechanical utility has evolved alongside the game's complex rules, it remains a nostalgic pillar of the franchise's history and character identity.
